Joni and Her Furry Friend

Joni and her 14-year old Chihuahua, Kiwi, experienced homelessness together since 2018. Joni needed help to overcome her barriers to housing, including finding a place that would accept Kiwi…as she was unwilling to leave her beloved, furry family member behind.

Once Joni was connected to an ECHO Housing Case Manager, she got all the support she needed to resolve her housing crisis. After a brief, emergency short-term hotel stay, Joni and Kiwi were moved into their own, permanent, safe and stable home – together.

Happy Move-in Day Joni and Kiwi!
