Jerry Gets the Support he Needs

Jerry experienced homelessness in the Myrtle Beach area for almost two years. Aside from a couple of short shelter stays, he spent most of that time on the streets – sleeping in any space, bench, or doorway that he could find. Living outside was difficult for the 59-year-old with ongoing physical health problems – especially when it was rainy and cold.

He began working with his ECHO Case Manager, Jason, in December and was clearly motivated to find a safe and stable home as soon as possible. Jerry immediately secured a moped, which allowed him to actively participate in his housing search. Together with Jason’s support, Jerry gratefully moved into his own, permanent, safe, and stable home this week.

Happy Move-in Day Jerry!
