Community News & Updates

Jim and his girlfriend Jessica came to ECHO September 20, 2017 without jobs and homeless. The two of them along with their three children had been homeless for 3 years.

ECHO provided housing for the family and with their family now safe in a stable environment, Jessica completed the minimal amount of education she still required in order to begin a nursing career. This allowed her to quickly find a job and just like that her family once again had a source of income. Jim is currently taking classes to enable him to enter the work force in a job more suitable to his condition. The family has secured a dependable vehicle and the two school age children are enrolled and doing well. This family is striving to get out of debt and become home owners. We enjoy meeting with them and finding out more about their continued success. They just needed a “hand-up” from ECHO and other agencies in the community to get their family back on track.
