David Signs His Own Lease

David signs a lease for his new home!

For almost three years, David slept most nights in a shed without any electricity or running water. On nights that were too cold to stay in the shed, he slept in his car underneath the Socastee Bridge.

David was enrolled into one of ECHO’s Permanent Support Housing programs, and on Monday was moved into his own apartment. He is grateful to have a place to call home after enduring the difficulties and stress of chronic homelessness.

David is 62 years old and has a disability, however he is now trying to find employment and is happy that he has his own address to write down on job applications. David will continue to work with his Case Manager, Jason, who will support David as he works to achieve his goals.

Happy Move-in Day David!
